I believe precious memories with your pet should never be overshadowed by a stressful goodbye. I have firsthand experience with the stress of saying goodbye to my first dog, Willy, at the clinic, and since then being able to say goodbye to two other dogs at home. This is why a peaceful passing at home is so important to me.

Dr Gary offered comfort, professionalism, and expertise at a time of sadness. He understands how people love their pets and how the process of ending their suffering is heartbreaking.
Dr. Gary was just who we needed in our hardest time. He answered all questions and reassured us through the entire process while comforting our sorrow. The hardest part of being a pet owner is knowing when to say goodbye. And Dr. Gary made that transition for our beloved dog Cash as well as it could be. I’m thankful to be able to be by his side reminding him how much he was loved and how much he meant to our entire family during his peaceful passing in my arms. Just over the rainbow and forever in my heart, rest in peace Cash Michael.
Dr Gary was kind, caring, compassionate and patient. He answered all our questions and gave our family time to process the loss of our sweet girl. As heartbreaking as it was to say goodbye to our fur family member, Dr. Gary made it a calm and peaceful experience.
Dr Gary Hsia was very mindful of our loss, very efficient and explained the steps very well. He gave us time to say goodbye to our Abbey.
Very polite.we were very comfortable with the way he treated Lola. We are spreading the word about Dr. Gary and CodaPet. Thank you, Joe Cornish
Dr. Gary was extremely compassionate and gentle. He explained everything to us and gave us the time we needed to process the information and make decisions that we were comfortable with.
Making the choice to do at home pet euthanasia was incredibly difficult; having to choose to say goodbye to my dog was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, but CodaPet made the whole process smooth and comforting for not just our Red but for our whole family as well. Dr.Gary was incredibly kind and compassionate, explaining the process thoroughly and giving us however much time we needed to send Red off. We were able to shower him with love and hold him in his final moments. We miss him so much, but I am certain he is truly at peace. Thank you so much to Dr.Gary and CodaPet.
We opted with home euthanasia and was not disappointed at all. From the beginning to end, Dr Gary was very professional, very kind and very supportive through this difficult decision. He sat on the floor where our dog was and proceeded the procedure where our dog was not comfortable. Dr Gary gave stepped outside to give us time to grieve. I definitely would recommend him!
Dr.Gary is an amazing human being--Everything went so well -So quickly and smoothly and I am so grateful for that!I still feel so sad but I know Gracie is in a better place with nor pain!Love her forever and Thank you so very much for your support and service.God bless everyone!🙏
This is the second time we’ve used CodaPet and both experiences were amazing! Dr Gary was so sweet and kind, explained the process well and you truly feel his compassion! I recommend them every time!
Dr. Gary was so kind and patient with us. Having To let go of our 18 year old baby girl was hard, but the process was very peaceful. Thank you Dr. Gary.
Dr. Gary was very empathic and understanding when he helped our beloved Jackson find peace. He helped us during a very challenging time.
Dr. Gary was kind, thoughtful, and patient. He was so gentle with our fragile senior dog, and really thought of everything to accommodate him and us. We are so grateful for Dr. Gary and CodaPet for going above and beyond during one of the most difficult times we’ve ever experienced.
They were caring and gentle with our dog and informative, caring and understanding with us. Our dog went peacefully at our home and I recommend their services.
Thank You, Dr. Gary Saying goodbye to my 15-year-old dog, Kona, was incredibly hard, but I’m so grateful Dr. Gary was there for us. He handled everything with compassion, patience, and true care—for Kona and for my family. He made sure the process was peaceful and gave us the time and space we needed. Dr. Gary’s empathy made a painful moment a little more bearable. I’ll always appreciate the respect and kindness he showed during Kona’s final moments. If you’re looking for a vet who truly cares, we can’t recommend him enough.
Dr. Gary Hsia showed empathy and compassion when we had to make the heartbreaking decision of putting our 13-year old pug out of his pain/suffering from cancer. Dr. Hsia handled Rocky with much care and attention to his every detail and need. The experience of being able to provide love and comfort for Rocky in his own home by utilizing this method made this already difficult experience of his passing, just a little bearable. The card and the delivery of Rocky's remains made it personal. - Thank you Dr. Hsia (and Bethany) - Jodi W.
Dr. Gary was so very kind and compassionate. We got to be with our cat, Daisy, in one of her favorite spots of our home. Dr. Gary gave took us through the process, then gave us the time we needed with Daisy before he administered the sedative, then again before he administered the final shot, and after. We got to cuddle with her the whole time. He took Daisy's body away and his wife returned with her ashes. The company that they work with included two river rocks with Daisy's name on them that were with her when she was cremated and are a perfect size to hold in your hand. We also got the keepsake of Daisy's paw in clay, which was very nicely done, however we wouldn't get that again as it doesn't look like her paw to us (due to the nature of how much bigger a paw looks when pressed into clay). We liked the inked paw prints on a card that Daisy and I made together the day before. We very much appreciate how patient, kind, and compassionate Dr. Gary was and that this service was available for our beloved cat.
I was very appreciated for the prompt response and gentle care Dr Hsia provided. It was a peaceful experience and I’m so grateful we could lay my kitty to rest in our home.
It was the most loving and peaceful way to allow beloved pet to pass. We appreciate the kindness and care our vet shared with us as we were going through the whole process.
Dr Gary was so compassionate and understanding. He communicated and really empathized with us. Although it was a hard situation, it brought great comfort and peace the way it was handled and the care and loving tokens of sympathy and remembrance of Brownie that he and Four Creeks Pet Crematorium gave us.
Dr. Gary is by far the best choice for in home pet euthanasia. We’ve trusted Dr. Gary with the care of all three of our pug babies over the years. He is very compassionate and shows so much care and respect. In a time that’s beyond difficult we were thankful to have such a thoughtful and empathetic doctor. Thank you! Renée and Megan Cable
We appreciate the timely visit for our Chico. The office personnel was so helpful and caring. Our veterinarian, Dr. Gary Hsia made our dear Chico's transition with peaceful compassion to the other side. Our family is beyond grateful for his kind and thoughtful words. Chico's wooden photo box and 👣 footprint gave us comfort knowing he was treated with the utmost respect. The name stones were a nice touch, too.
We lost 3 pets within 1 year. There is a reason we keep calling Dr Gary Hsia. He is patient and respectful. His services allowed our pets to be where they were most comfortable in their last moments.
Dr Gary was knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate. Words can't express the comfort we felt being at home with our dog after making this tough decision.
This is our second time using Coda Pet. When the difficult decision was made that our senior dog needed to be put down to rest we turned to Dr. Gary once again. He is the most gentle, kind and compassionate veterinarian. Our children were present and allowed to snuggle, comfort and say their goodbyes to our fur baby. We truly could ask for a better experience
Dr Gary was so kind and gentle with our sweet Lola. From the moment he came to our front door, he made sure we knew he was there for as long as we needed him to be. Never in a hurry, Dr Gary allowed us to spend as much time as we needed to comfort our baby and love on her. The manner in which he delivered his care was professional and dignified. We definitely recommend home euthanasia, because although difficult for us to say our last goodbyes, Lola had us with her for her last breath. In her bed, in her home. We received emails and texts for a few days after from Codapet and that really helped us with the grieving process.
Dr Gary was so gentle and loving. He was thorough in explaining what was going to happen and gave me choices for the procedure. He was very patient and slow. My kitty was able to fall asleep in my arms. For what was happening Dr. Gary gave me a beautiful gift of love. Thank you so very much. I highly recommend Codapet. So much better at home.
Dr. Gary Hsia was just what we needed and wanted. Letting go of my very fragile, old soul cat was pure heart break. Dr. Gary was gentle and respectful with my Kiko. I’m so grateful.
This is the second time I used Peaceful Passing aka CodaPet. It was a much better experience euthanizing our beloved pets at home. The doctor was so kind.
This was our first time with peaceful passing & I would definitely recommend. It's never easy saying goodbye. Dr. Gary is very kind with a gentle soul. He gave our family compassion and respect. Super amazing! I would love to be able to call him our primary vet.
Dr. Gary was amazing, he was so kind and gentle with our sweet Gracie. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience at such a difficult time. 100% recommend Dr. Gary and his wife.
I want to thank Dr. Gary Hsia and CodaPet for their kindness and professionalism with helping me through the passing of my beloved little dog, Miley. Dr. Gary was so kind and sensitive to my needs and wishes in the transitioning of Miley. He understood my sorrow and took extra care in taking me through the process. I truly recommend CodaPet with the home care and handling of our beloved pets. Respectfully, Jean Caiazza
Dr. Gary was so kind, patient and considerate in discussing our sweet Zoey's (15 years) medical situation, answering questions and helping me to arrive at the most devastating but kindest decision for her. I am so very grateful that she was able to pass peaceably at home with me at her side. Dr. Gary also made time to hand-deliver Zoey's cremains to our family, giving us some comfort and closure. Thank you so much, Dr. Gary.
Dr. Hsia was very professional and gentle with our Lola. He made the experience very easy for our family. His patience with our pet and allowing the kids time with her made it so much easier. He has a calming presence that makes a difficult process easier to handle. He was a great match for us and our pet.
Dr Gary was very responsive, yet respectful during this challenging time when Finn required euthanasia. This was our second time in a couple years we have gone this route to prevent suffering and Dr Gary was able to explain everything and take of everything so we could just focus on make Finn comfortable as possible.♥️
Dr. Gary Hsia was extremely hands on with us. Our girl was young and initially he gave us some dietary and medical assistance to try and alleviate her struggle somewhat and prolong her life. He even went into my pantry and helped me with her dietary requirements. In spite of this follow through not helping her circumstances, I appreciate that he gave me an opportunity to truly say I had tried everything and that putting her down was the correct thing to do. When he returned on his next visit. He was calm; spoke soothingly (out of respect for my girl.) Made sure she was lying comfortably and gave us time to say goodbye. He was well prepared for every step of the procedure. The aftercare has also been fantastic. We received a beautiful card from him and the overall communication through texting has been very good. I am so glad that my girl got to spend her last minutes around people at home and with a doctor who cared.
It’s always hard making the decision to put down your dog. Unfortunately this wasn’t my first time. Normally I also do not write reviews but my experience with Dr. Hsia will be a lasting one. Macy our 12 year old family dog got to eat scrambled eggs for breakfast and steak for lunch. All 3 of our other dogs got to lay next to her as the doctor did his thing. It was a very beautiful experience for the whole family. Thank you Dr. Hsia
Dr. Hsia made a very difficult situation much easier. I would highly recommend their services. I researched price and their at home service was comparable to a veterinarian's office. My dog didn't like going to the vet, so I didn't want to subject him to that stress. I was so pleased with Dr. Hsia and his wife Dr. Bethany Hsia. They were kind, compassionate and very thoughtful during this difficult time for my family.
Dr. Gary was so kind, compassionate, and patient with us throughout the entire process. I am so glad we chose to utilize Dr. Gary and allow our family dog to enjoy his last rest where he was most comfortable, surrounded by all those who were impacted by him. I would recommend this route to all pet owners who are faced with having to make this difficult decision.
Very compassionate and professional. Outstanding experience I'm a difficult situation I have referred friends now to Codapet and adr Hsia
Would highly recommend this service! Dr Gary was so calm and caring. Took his time with both the 2 and 4 legged patients. Explained every step so no supprises. The absolute most humane and beautiful experience you can provide for your beloved pet for their last moments. Truly a gift of peace for everyone involved. Thank you Dr Gary!
I've had many many pets in my lifetime. This is the first time I experienced saying goodbye in the comfort of my home. I would never choose to do it any other way again. Dr. Hsia is compassionate, kind and highly professional. My little girl Lottie lived a long life at 17+ yrs of age. I absolutely love my personal Vet, but I didn't want Lottie's last hours to be a car drive across town and waiting in a busy office to be seen. I am grateful for CodaPet and Dr. Hsia.
Dr. Hsia was absolutely amazing. He was empathetic and so understanding during the whole process. He gave us all the time we needed and wanted. I was able to take nose and paw prints and he was just so communicative and caring. Literally exceeded our expectations and then some. I am so grateful for Dr. Hsia and being able to share those final loving moments with our Biscuit. Can’t thank you enough.
Dr. Hsia was very kind and gentle with our beloved Jeffrey. I couldn’t not have asked for such an incredibly sad and emotional experience to have gone any better. He explained everything thoroughly and made us feel very comfortable with the process. It truly was a peaceful passing at home. I’m so grateful we were able to do this for Jeffrey and not have to drive him back to the pet hospital. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the same situation.
Dr. Gary Hsia was truly amazing! I had to make the heartbreaking decision to let my Milo go. Making that decision was one of the hardest things I had to do. I knew that I wanted her to make her journey over the rainbow bridge here at home. Dr. Gary was patient and very empathetic to what our family was going through. He explained every step of the process and let us take as much time as we needed to say our final goodbyes. I would recommend him to everyone. I would give him 10 stars if I could. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Deciding to have my cat euthanized at home instead of bringing him to a clinic was a very positive and peaceful experience during a sad and difficult time. I'm very grateful to Dr. Gary for his caring and gentle approach he provided my cat. Dr. Gary explained the process and answered my questions with heartfelt patience. He provided me the time and space I need to say my good byes. This experience was less stressful for both myself and my cat than having to go to a clinic. I will definitely use Dr. Gary's services again if and when needed in the future.
Dr Gary was amazing. His vibe was great from the start. We had our Kota Bear for 9 years and he was my baby! But having a Dr that is so calm and sweet made my whole family feel better about this awful situation. I was so happy to be able to do this at home. It was so much better for my Kota Bear. Thank you so much. I will always be grateful to Dr Gary. I would recommend you guys to everyone! ❤️
Dr Hsia is a true professional and a very kind person, he was very patient and considerate. It was a sad day but necessary Dr Hsia is a good man and I’m grateful to have met him when we needed him most.
Dr. Gary was very compassionate and patient with our family in this emotional season of our lives. We thank you and your wife for everything. God bless
Dr Gary is an exceptional provider, I highly recommend this at home service to anyone looking for an intimate way to say goodbye. Thank you so much
Dr. Gary has helped me with 2 old dogs. Both times he impressed me with his calm, confident demeanor and genuine kindness. I highly recommend Dr. Gary.
We recently used Dr. Gary to bid farewell to my beloved dog, Monkey. This dog was THE best dog (everyone says it and everyone is right). He saw me through every moment of my adult life- joy, trauma, sickness, and grief- and I was adamant that he have the best possible experience to cross the rainbow bridge. He deserved the world and more, so in my soul I felt certain that in home euthanasia would be the best option for his comfort. I underestimated what a truly peaceful, stress-free experience it would be. Dr. Gary was incredibly kind, patient, and professional, and truly cared for Monkey’s comfort from beginning to end. Opting to put Monkey down in the comfort of his home and his mama’s lap alleviated so much anxiety for our dog, and for each member of our family. Dr. Bethany was equally lovely to work with when she returned our boy’s ashes to us. I would recommend this service, and Dr. Gary and Dr. Bethany, to anyone who has to make the gut-wrenching decision to bid farewell to their pet.
As our large breed dog entered his senior years we knew when the day came we wanted an at home euthanasia option. The day came where he could not get up on his own so we reached out to Dr. Gary. Dr. Gary was professional, patient, and considerate the entire way through. He discussed my dog's health with great care. He never once rushed any step of the process, allowing me to decide when I was ready for the next step. Letting our dog go was the most painful thing I have ever had to do, but with the aid of Dr. Gary I believe it was a gift to our sweet boy. He was home, in his bed, with his toys, cuddled up with mom.
Dr Gary was so patient and empathetic during the difficult decision to let our Cooper go. It couldn’t have been more peaceful. Thank you.
Dr. Gary was very kind, compassionate and very caring in such a heartbreaking time of my life. Him and his wife were both very supportive and caring during my whole process of losing my Holly pup. I can’t thank them enough for the kind work they did for me and all the other families they help.
