Why I provide at-home pet euthanasia

I became a veterinarian, like most, because I had a strong compassion for animals and wanted to help them live longer healthier lives. Unfortunately, our pets never live as long as we would like, and I see home euthanasia as providing both the pet parents and the beloved pet with a peaceful and loving location to say our final goodbye.

What pet parents are saying

Dr. Robert Devlin- my family and I cannot thank you enough for your kindness, support and empathy!! You made a very heartbreaking experience as smooth as you possible, talked us through the entire process with such warmth and gave us as much time with our precious baby as we needed. Thank you a million times! 10/10 would recommend him to anyone having to make the devastating choice as we had to make today!!

We sadly had to put down our dog Chance who was with us for 16 years. Dr Devlin approached the entire heartbreaking process with compassion and respect. He was very gentle and explained everything from start to finish so we knew what to expect. Although we met under an unfortunate situation we are very thankful for him. He is a very kind soul.

Dr.Devlin was wonderful. Putting our Bella to sleep was the hardest decision we had to make and knew it was time. He was very compassionate and gentle with our baby and made it easier for all of us. Thank you!

The sad experience was made more comfortable by the veterinarian’s compassion. She allowed us to set the pace. Saying β€œgoodbye” in the warmth of our own home vs a sterile environment made a big difference.

Dr. Devlin was very gentle and gave a thorough explanation of what to expect during the process. We could not get Grace to our vet but our experience with inhome euthanasia was awesome. Grace passed in the comfort of her bed and she left us very peacefully. Thank you Dr. Devlin, you are a very caring Vet.

This one of the hardest decisions we had to make, but Dr. Rob made our sweet boys departure from his world very peaceful and painless. We held him in our arms in his own home until he took his last breath. Thank you so much! πŸ™πŸ»πŸ’•
